School Community Council
The School Community Council plays a vital role in the education system at Ahuimnau. The council provides a forum through which parents and other members of the school communities can contribute to improving student achievement and school performance. The School Community Council makes recommnedations to our Principal on academic and financial matters. Our Principal in turn, consults with the School Community Council on a variety of issues that affect student learning.
By giving information to parents and community representatives, getting feedback from them and presenting their views to a school, the School Community Coouncil involves the community in the discussion of education issues and helps the school identify and respond to the education needs of the community.
Membership on the School Community Council also benefits the individual involved. The personal advatages of becoming a School Community Council member include :
Being an important partner in the education system.
Contributing to the shared goal of improving student achievement.
Having a vehicle through which to express opinions.
Being able to keep informed about what is happening at the school
