2003 Second Annual WOG-A-THON
January 31, 2003
Kaneohe, HI.
This year's WOG-A-THON was, once again, a big success. Each student that participated did their best to walk or jog as many laps as possible during a 25 minute time period. A water station, a First Aid Station and the Kaneohe Marine Corps were on hand to provide support and cheer for the students as they did their best to run as many laps as possible.
Due to the bad weather and rain, the course had to be moved from the Ahuimanu District Park to the school parking lot. Even though the change meant that students could put in more laps, that didn't stop any of them from going all out. With the top runner pulling in over 40 laps, the students demostrated their determination to do their best and support the school in building a much needed Fitness Center.
The children that participated sought pledges from family memebers, neighbors, and friends by asking for a fixed pledge, or a per lap amount. This fundraiser is special in that 100% of all revenue raised stays at the school. Last year, the WOG-A-THON raised over 10.000.
Mahalo to the Voluteers, family, and friends that participated and supported this year's WOG-A-THON.
